Jaydeen Vicente
ASTRO Foundation Board of Directors
President & Founder
How long have you been with the Board?
I cofounded the ASTRO Foundation in 2012 and have been forwarding our mission ever since.
What made you want to join the ASTRO Foundation Board of Directors?
I had spent some time volunteering at the city shelter and saw there was a tremendous need for more resources to rescue animals in our community.
Where do you live?
My family and I have lived in rural Oakdale since 2009.
Tell us a little about your day, what do you do, what have you done?
By day, I am a full-time pharmaceutical representative. I have an MBA from Cal State Stanislaus.
Are you currently participating in any other organizations or associations?
I am also a member of the Oakdale Ladies of Golf Association.
What unique talents and skills do you bring to the board?
I am quite tenacious. When I set my mind on a goal, I don’t stop until I achieve it. That tenacity, coupled with my passion for animals, has helped me grow ASTRO into the amazing organization that it is today.
We would love to hear about your family, starting with your pets…
I have too many pets to list, but if you go into the ASTRO Foundation cat room, you will see a mural of my favorite rescue cat, NEMO! Nemo's best friend is LUKE, a pure black German Shepherd. These two best buddies live with their parents, Jaydeen and Joey, and many, many cat friends on a ranchette in East Oakdale.
Finally, what excites you about being part of the ASTRO board of directors?
What excites me the most is to see the smiles on people's faces when they adopt a pet and knowing that pet is going to a loving home. Our goal is to continue to grow ASTRO Foundation so that we can save even more pets in the future.
